Our Mission
Fanfare loves music and the powerful impact it has on children. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports the Music and Performing Arts department of Harvard Public Schools. Founded in 1988, we have been integral in establishing and expanding music education in Harvard, Mass.
Goal One
We want to make sure that all Harvard public school students who want to perform at districts and states have the financial support they need as well as be a great host to student musical groups who perform at Bromfield.
Goal Two
We aim to fund as many grant applications from Performing Arts faculty and students at Bromfield and Hildreth Elementary to meet the equipment, curricular, or extra-curricular opportunities that the school budget just can’t cover.
Goal Three
Musical instruments and equipment are expensive. We are here to support the music faculty as they build a maintenance and replacement schedule for their inventory to help plan for big ticket items.

In recent years Fanfare has purchased new instruments for the schools, including over $1500 of rhythm instruments for the HES music department and a new drum set for Bromfield to be used by the jazz bands. Fanfare has also purchased new steel drums for teaching at HES. Instrument storage at Bromfield is done in individual storage lockers provided to the students by Fanfare. And lastly, we annually give scholarships to students who will continue their music education after high school as well as summer music scholarships.
What your donations support…
Fanfare purchased the ukeleles for the Hildreth Elementary School music program.
Our 1931 Steinway piano got a much need restoration thanks to a Fanfare fundraising campaign.

Fanfare is fueled by donations. We appreciate each and every gift regardless of the amount. Because we are a 501(c)3 organization, all donations are tax-deductible.
Get Involved
A strong music program benefits from a whole community’s support. Fanfare welcomes those who want to share their time, expertise, love for music, or support for the students.
